Nigeria@55 Happy Independence day

Happy Independence day Nigerial@55
Arise, O compatriots, Nigeria's call obey
To serve our fatherland
With love and strength and faith
The labour of our heroes past
Shall never be in vain
To serve with heart and might
One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity.

Oh God of creation, direct our noble cause
Guide our leader’s right
Help our youth the truth to know
In love and honesty to grow
And living just and true
Great lofty heights attain
To build a nation where peace and justice shall reign.

The Pledge
I pledge to Nigeria my country
To be faithful, loyal and honest
To serve Nigeria with all my strength
To defend her unity, and uphold her honour and glory
  So help me God.

I had to take time to copy out the Nigeria national anthems and the pledge today to mark the 55th year of Nigeria being independent because those words are the exact prayers Nigeria need at this point in time and that's my Prayer for Nigeria today. There so many questions still left unanswered about Nigeria. How she's going to be free from corruption, how she could be free from the various crisis arising, how the corrupt leaders are going to be brought to justice, how the country is going to supply the basic economic resources to the very list of her citizens.. and so on. Have we really had a thought of being of help to our nation? We are Nigerians without us there would be no Nigeria.
"To serve our father land with love and strength and faith" that has been turned around. There's no love or strength or faith in serving the land anymore.
Let's not allow the labour of our past heroes be in vein. Let's work together to make Nigeria great. We are the future of Nigeria. We still have so much reason to hope for a better Nigeria and that depends on you and me. Let's keep working together in love, peace and unity and we'll succeed in building a nation where peace and Justice shall reign.
God bless Nigeria
God bless Nigerians
Happy independence day..
Nigeria @55
